Declan Cassidy - Chief Executive Officer

Declan Cassidy was appointed new CEO of Digicel BVI in April 2012.

 

Having worked in the ABC Islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao), in Honduras and the Cayman Islands since July 2006, Cassidy has considerable experience across all Sales and Marketing channels and brings a strong focus in developing and growing new markets.

He is a highly experienced telecoms professional and is tasked with continuing to build the BVI business starting with the launch of 4G later in 2012.

 

Prior to joining Digicel, Cassidy, who has an Honours Degree in Business Studies from N.U.I. Galway, worked at SMART Telecom and EIRCOM in his native Ireland.

 
 
Des Wynne - Corporate Sales Manager

Des joined Digicel in October 2011 as Corporate Sales Manager. He brings over 7 years of telecoms experience in Corporate Account Management, Hardware Sales and ICT Sales.

 

As Corporate Sales Manager, Des is responsible to lead the Corporate Sales Team in leveraging existing relationships and driving new business and ICT sales for Digicel BVI.

 

Previously, Des worked for Telefonica as a Senior Business Account Manager and was responsible for over $4 million worth of revenue. Des also worked for Eircom as a Business Sales Team Leader based in the eastern region of Ireland.


Su Thomas - Commercial Manager

Su joined Digicel in 2011 as Commercial Manager and the BVI is her first Digicel assignment.  Su brings to the BVI 3 years telecom experience and extensive previous experience in sales, marketing and distribution.


As Commercial Manager, Su provides leadership to the commercial team in developing, providing, implementing and managing the commercial strategy for Digicel BVI. The key areas of responsibility are Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Products and Pricing.

 

Previously, Su worked as Channel Marketing Manager for LG Mobile and as O2’s Trade Marketing Manager– both in Ireland.

 

Su is a first class honours student from Dublin Business School where she studied Marketing and Business Management.
Rajkumarr Venkataraman - Technical Manager

Raj is the Technical Manager for the OECS & the British Virgin Islands.
 This role aims to bring coherence in the Technical and IT approach, innovative Telco-grade services and solutions to the end-user, efficient applications to the internal clients, optimizing time and costs as well as raising revenues.  

Rajkumarr has been in the Caribbean region for 4 years and joined Digicel from his previous position as Specialist Technical Support for Ericsson India Limited. With Ericsson India, he was involved with the launch and support of GSM operators country wide.

Rajkumarr joined the Digicel family on September 26, 2006 as Core Network Manager based in Suriname. His role involved assisting with the aquisition and technical transition of other networks to Digicel.

He has been instrumental in the successful launches of Digicel Guyana, Suriname and the British Virgin Islands.

Rajkumarr holds a Masters degree in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations and a Bachelors degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from India.
