ANOTHER LUCKY SUBSCRIBER GETS A FREE DIGICEL BLACKBERRY AND $500 FREE SHOPPING AT RITEWAY
Friday, 19 November 2010 – Road Town, Tortola: Another Digicel customer on Friday got the opportunity to upgrade her Digicel service as she won a FREE BlackBerry smartphone from Digicel, The Bigger, Better Network.
Alvera Patrick, a prepaid customer, willingly signed up on a postpaid plan after collecting her new BlackBerry at the Digicel Corporate Office. She will also be walking out of Riteway Food Markets in Pasea in a few days with her $500 in FREE groceries, to complete her winnings from the Digicel Shop for FREE promotion.
Ms. Patrick had her Digicel phone with her usual this morning and promptly answered when she was called up live on ZROD 103.7FM by host of The Morning Ride Show, Paul “Gadeithz” Peart. Even after being presented with her prize a few hours later, she remained pleasantly surprised at being singled out by the telecoms company that she has been loyal to for a number of years, dating back to her home country of Jamaica.
The new BlackBerry owner says she will possibly be passing on her prepaid phone to some lucky friend or family member. “I use my Digicel phone all the time and with my new BlackBerry postpaid service, I can now call my friends and family without having to worry about topping up, and I also can get my emails while I am on the go. Thank you Digicel,” she declared.
Digicel’s SHOP FOR FREE promotion, in conjunction with Riteway Food Markets and Research in Motion RIM, was launched on November 1. Digicel subscribers stand the chance to win weekly prizes and be entered in the grand prize draw to win $1,000.00 in FREE groceries every month for an entire year, along with a BlackBerry Torch with $200 call time every month, also for the next 12 months.
The 4th winner will be selected next Friday November 26, 2010. The SHOP FOR FREE promotion climaxes on December 8 with a grand Supermarket Sweep competition at Riteway’s spanking new state-of-the-art store in Pasea Estate, where the six qualifyers will race through the aisles to see who will be the grand prize winner!
To be eligible, customers must either top up by $15 or more, buy a Digicel phone, pay their bill in full and on time, register for E-bill or sign up for a BlackBerry service.
Follow the promotion by logging on to www.digicelbvi.com.
