NEW YORK, HILTON AND BROADWAY, FOR FINAL DIGICEL FUGITIVE WINNER

August 19th 2011 - Final Day of Digicel Fugitive

Successful Digicel Promotion Comes to an End

Friday, 19 August 2011 – Road Town, Tortola: In a grand and exciting finish to a month long promotion launched by Digicel BVI, one lucky person and a guest are off to New York City with paid-for accommodations at the Hilton Hotel and tickets to any Broadway show, after finding the Digicel Fugitive just a few nail-biting minutes before the scheduled end of the campaign at 1pm.

Ms. Jacky Small was elated beyond measure, but was so glad she took her boss’s advice and high-tailed it up to The Moorings, not once, but twice, desperately searching for The Digicel Fugitive.

She said she had been following the promotion over the past weeks, but didn’t exert the effort to find the Fugitive until today, because of the prize and she was determined to win!

“Today’s clue was tough, but I love travelling and I really worked hard to win this prize,” Small said, expressing much gratitude to her boss for helping her along the way. “I am not a Digicel customer, but Digicel, I am definitely going to be a client immediately,” she blurted out, in sheer disbelief, astonishment and gratitude. “I can’t believe I won, I can’t believe I won!”

The promotion was launched on July 18th, 2011 and encouraged everyone to listen to ZROD 103.7FM daily between 10am and 1pm to hear the clues, rush to the location and identify the Digicel Fugitive by asking “Are you the Digicel Fugitive?” Digicel customers had the added advantage of registering to get the clues earlier, by texting CLUE to 2583.

CEO of Digicel Alan Bates said the response from the community has been fantastic and the Fugitive promotion once again shows Digicel’s commitment to giving back to all aspects of the BVI community, whilst at the same time having some great fun.

“We even extended the promotion a few days and over the last five weeks, Digicel has given out to fifteen (15) lucky contestants over $10,000 in cash and prizes, including smartphones, beauty vouchers, hotel stays and dinners. We are delighted for Ms. Jacky Small, the winner of the grand prize and hope that she has a really enjoyable time up in New York,” Bates added.

The Digicel CEO went on to thank ZROD 103.7FM and all of the location hosts, Fugitives and participants throughout the BVI who came together and made this promotion such a huge success.

“That combined with our Festival sponsorships – Coney Island and East End – the KATS/Premier’s Cup International Youth Regatta and our support for Special Olympics BVI, further positions Digicel as a good corporate citizen,” he said. “There has never been a better time to switch to Digicel. Digicel offers better value and definitely a better service to this community.
