SIX DIGICEL SUBSCRIBERS SELECTED TO ENTER GRAND DRAW TO WIN $12,000 IN FREE GROCERIES!
Friday, 3 December 2010 – Road Town, Tortola: With much fanfare during a live radio broadcast at Riteway Food Markets in Pasea, the final two contestants to take part in the grand Supermarket Sweep competition to be hosted by Digicel BVI and Riteway, were selected today.
Martin Sprauve and Gerry Swann, both very new to the Digicel family, both won $500 in FREE groceries and a new BlackBerry Curve 8520. They also stand a chance to win $1,000 a month in FREE groceries and a BlackBerry Torch 9800 with $200 a month call time!
Sprauve bought his prepaid phone just a few weeks ago at Asson Electronics, Digicel’s retail store in West End. “I just went in and asked for the best value phone and they sold me this,” he said. “I still can’t believe I won today because ‘I make bad luck look shame’! I never win anything, so it seems like Digicel really agrees with me.”
Swann’s business, Voyage Charters, signed on to Digicel just three months ago and he said his customers have been enjoying the excellent service provided by The Bigger, Better Network.
Both winners join Cherylene Cameron, Celeste Flax, Alvera Patrick and Markita Turnbull as the six finalists to take part in the grand Supermarket Sweep Finale on December 8 at Riteway Food Markets.
The competition was open to persons who bought a Digicel phone, topped up by $15 or more, paid their bills in full and on time, registered for E-Bill or activated any BlackBerry service.

The countdown is now on to next Wednesday when we will have the six contestants running through the aisles at Riteway to see who will grab the most groceries and be the grand prize winner.”
Bates thanked everyone involved, including Riteway and Research in Motion (RIM), for working with Digicel to ensure the success of this promotion.
