JUNE 14— Tahesia Harrigan-Scott equaled her 100m national record on Saturday, while competing in the Elite Open Track and Field Invitational in Miramar, Florida.
Harrigan-Scott posted a winning time of 11.13 seconds to equal the mark she ran twice in 2006. In Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, last month, the territory’s double sprint record holder ended her tour with an 11.14 time.
She was coming off running the fastest times of her career under all conditions. The London 2012 Olympic Games 100m qualifier who will be seeking to defend her CAC Championships title in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico in July, had a windy 10.89 in the 100m prelims of the NTC Sprint Series in Claremont, Florida last week, aided by a 4.6 mps breeze. A 2.9 wind again robbed her of a personal best when she followed up with 10.97 to finish third.
Harrigan-Scott will compete at the IAAF World Championships in Daegu, South Korea, Aug 27-Sept 4.
