What is the ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’ about?
The CARIBBEAN PLAN gives all Prepaid & Postpaid Digicel subscribers FREE calls to other Digicel Caribbean destinations.
Is the ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’ available to both Prepaid and Postpaid subscribers?
Yes. The ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’ is available to all Digicel subscribers.
How does the ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’ work?
The ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’ provides FREE international calls to Digicel Caribbean (Excluding Antigua, Guyana and Haiti) and Panama markets.
What are the Digicel Caribbean countries involved in this promotion?
The Caribbean Plan includes calls to other Digicel subscribers in the following Digicel Caribbean destinations: Anguilla, Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman, Curacao, Dominica, French Guiana, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Martinique, Panama, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands.
How can the ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’ be activated?
The ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’ can be activated through the following process:
Prepaid
For $14, you can get 7 days access by simply dialling *132#
For $49, you can get 30 days access by simply dialling *134#
Prepaid customers get 300 minutes per day.
Postpaid
If you are on one of the following Select Pricing plans, you can get the Caribbean Plan added for $49:
· Select 200
· Select 325
· Select 675
To sign up, simply call Customer Care (#100) & in-store for postpaid customers.
The cost will be added to your next bill (pro rated).
Will postpaid customers get extra minutes for the ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’ to make these calls?
No. The Caribbean Plan is also a “bolt on” to any existing Digicel Plan; e.g. Digicel Select 200, Digicel Select 325, Digicel Select 675.
Note: The “bolt on” is an additional package added to the customer’s postpaid plan for FREE calls to Digicel Caribbean countries and costs $49 a month.
Is there expiration after activation of the ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’?
Yes. There is an expiration of 30 days after of activation for prepaid subscribers. Postpaid subscribers will be billed as per usual (pro rated).
Is there a subscription fee for the ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’ on post pay?
Yes. There is a subscription fee of US$49.00 for activation of the ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’.
Will the subscription fee be deducted after activation for prepaid subscribers?
Yes. The subscription fee will be deducted immediately from the credit balance after subscriubing via
*132# (Send) for 7 days
*134# (Send) for 14 days
Are there any restrictions with the ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’?
Yes. There are restrictions with the CARIBBEAN PLAN.
Prepaid customers require credit upon activation to receive 300 minutes per day.
Prepaid customers are allowed an accumulative time of 5 hours per day.
As a safeguard against fraud, customers will be automatically cut off after being on a single call for 2 hours. However, the customer can immediately re-dial the number to continue said call.
Postpaid customers are awarded a total of 7200 minutes per month.
***Digicel reserves the right to refuse service to any customer deemed to be using the service fraudulently.
Are Prepaid Customers able to activate the ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’?
Yes. Prepaid customers are able to activate the ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’. In order for a Prepaid CUG customer to use the service, the customer MUST use (*9) before the number being dialed. E.g. If a Prepaid CUG customer is calling Panama, then the prepaid CUG subscriber would dial (*9) + area code (011) before the number, i.e. *9011509xxxxxx.
Note: *9 + mobile number is only for calls out of the CUG. If a CUG call is made, then the Prepaid CUG Customer dials the number as normal. If a prepaid CUG customer calls another prepaid CUG in BVI customer using *9 + mobile number, then there will be a charge as per normal.
Are prepaid subscribers able to activate more than one plan at a time?
No. Prepaid subscribers are only able to activate one plan at a time. Once the plan has expired on the specified date, then there can be a reactivation of the ‘Caribbean Plan’.
Is there a reactivation code that prepaid customers can use?
No. There is no reactivation code. Customers simply dial *134# Send to activate the plan after expiry.
Are prepaid customers able to check the accumulated minutes?
No. Prepaid subscribers are unable to check accumulated minutes. If a prepaid customer has exceeded the 5 hour limit, then normal charging will begin thereafter.
Are there any limitations for the ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’?
Yes. Customers can only call Digicel Caribbean numbers.
Am I able to use the ‘CARIBBEAN PLAN’ while roaming?
No. Customers who are roaming are NOT able to use the CARIBBEAN PLAN.
