Q.  What is Digicel Local & Regional Day/weekly Pass?

A.  Digicel Day/Weekly Pass is the latest Talk promotion. Digicel prepaid

customers are able to call any and all local Digicel numbers and regional Digicel numbers listed below.

 

Q. When is this promotion available to the public?

A. This promotion was launched on January 27th 2010

 

Q. How long will this promotion run for?

A. Digicel Day Pass promotion will end on January 31, 2011.

 

Q. How much does the pass cost?

A. A one day pass costs $3 and a 7 day pass costs $14

 

Q. How long does the pass last?

A. The day pass lasts for 24 hours from the time you subscribe. The 7

day pass lasts for 168 hours from the time you subscribe.

 

Q. What countries are included as part of the plan

A. Anguilla, Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda, Bonaire, BVI, Cayman, Curacao, Dominica, El Salvador, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Martinique, Panama, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St, Martin (French side only), St. Vincent, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks and Caicos

 

Q. Does this offer apply when calling a Lime or CCT customer?

A. No. Calls must be local & regional Digicel-to-Digicel calls.

 

Q. Can I call anywhere in the world with the day pass?

A. No.  This promotion is limited to local and regional Digicel to Digicel calls only. Regular international calling rates apply to destinations outside of the select overseas locations.

 

Q. Are all Digicel Caribbean countries included in this promotion?

A.  NO. The pass does not cover Antigua & Barbuda and Guyana

 

 Q. Is this promotion valid only to prepaid customers?

A. Yes, this promotion is only available to all Digicel prepaid customers in the British Virgin Islands

 

Q.  How does this promotion work?

A.  By simply dialing *131# for the day pass or *132# for the weekly pass, Digicel customers are able to activate Digicel $3 Day Pass.  Their prepaid account must carry a minimum balance of $3. Upon activation, the account will be debited (deducted) $3.  From there, customers will be able to make all their local & Regional Digicel to Digicel calls FREE of charge for a 24 hour period

 

Step by Step mechanics for subscribing to *131# (day) or *132# (weekly)

 

ü  Customer dials *131# for the day pass or *132# for the weekly pass, they get the WELCOME and REQUEST_FOR_CONFIRMATION message.

 

ü   The Welcome message states “Welcome to Digicel 1/7 Day Pass Plan. Instructions will follow in the next SMS message’

ü    The customer will then receive the REQUEST_FOR_CONFIRMATION message which states “Please confirm activation of ‘Day Pass’ by dialing *134*1#. To cancel dial *134*9#”.

 

ü    Customer confirms by dialing *134*1#, they get the CONFIRM_ACCEPTANCE message. When the plan terminates 24 hours later, the customer will get the INVALID message.

 

ü  After sending the confirmation code, if the customer does not have enough credit,

    they get the NOT_ENOUGH_FUNDS message

 

ü  If the customers dials *134# and does not confirm the plan within 30 minutes, they

   will get the INITIALIZATION_EXPIRED message.

 

ü  If the customer dials *134#, and erroneously dials *134# again, they will get the

   INITIALIZATION_IN_PROGRES message.

 

 

QDoes it matter what time of day I make the call?

A. No.  The Digicel day Pass promotion is valid any time of day or any day of the week. Customers are able to use their 300 minutes on all of their local Digicel to Digicel calls for 24hours from the time they subscribe to the $3 Day Pass. Customers must subscribe for every day that they would like to talk for FREE on the entire Digicel network.

 

Q. What is the fair usage policy for the pass?

A. Customers are limited to 300 minutes a day. If you go outside the 300 minutes, you will be charged regular calling rates for your Digicel to Digicel calls. The weekly pass is also 300 minutes a day for 7 days, you will be charged regular calling rates for your Digicel to Digicel calls thereafter.

  

 

Q.  How will this apply to postpaid account holders?

A.  This promotion is not available to postpaid customers; however we do

have a similar plan on postpaid for $129.

 

Q.  Can Digicel customers share call time or credit, such as Credit U?

A.  No.

 

Q. Can my Day Pass be revoked or cancelled?

A. Yes, if a customer is found abusing the promotion by breaking the “Fair

Usage” policy Digicel reserves the right to revoke your subscription to the

Day Pass.

A. Customers can view the terms and conditions and get more information by visiting www.digicelbvi.com or by dialing #100 from their Digicel phones.

 

Q. Can I subscriber to more than 1 plan at the same time?

A. No, you must wait for your plan to expire, before subscribing to another plan.

 

Q. Does this affect the any network, any number plan?

A. No, if you top up by $20 or more and subscribe to the day/weekly pass, you still avail of the 17c plan to call BVI Lime and CCT numbers. Your local Digicel calls will be free for the duration you are subscribed to the plan and you do not exceed your daily limit.

 

 

Fair Use Policy

Summary

1.  It is important to Digicel that all eligible Digicel customers are able to access our Services.  Accordingly, We have devised a Fair Use Policy which applies to:

(a)    usage of Digicel $3 Regional Day Pass Services; and $14 weekly regional pass service

(c)   any promotions or Services which are advertised by Digicel are subject to the Fair Use Policy (“Fair Use Promotions”).

2.  We reserve the right to vary the terms of the Fair Use Policy from time to time.

3.  Digicel may rely on the Fair Use Policy where:

(a)   your usage of Digicel $3 Day Pass Services is deemed to be unreasonable; or

(b)   your usage of Digicel $14 weekly Day Pass Services is deemed to be unreasonable; or

(c)   your participation in a Fair Use Promotion is excessive or unreasonable, as defined below.

 

Excessive Use

4.  In the case of Fair Use Policy, what is excessive use will either be advertised by Digicel at the time of the relevant promotion or introduction of the relevant Service or included in this Fair Use Policy prior to the commencement of the relevant promotion or introduction of the relevant Service.

(a)   In the case of the Digicel $3 Day Pass, excessive use will be use above 300 minutes per customer per day, or where a customer’s utilization  adversely affects the Digicel Network or other Digicel customers’ use of or access to a Digicel Service or the Digicel Network;

(b)    In the case of Digicel $14 Weekly Pass, excessive use will be use above 300 minutes per customer per day, or where a customer’s utilization adversely affects the Digicel Network or other Digicel customers’ use of or access to a Digicel service or The Digicel Network.

 

 

 Unreasonable Use

5.  It is unreasonable use of Digicel $3/ $14 Day/Weekly Pass Services where your use of Digicel Services is reasonably considered by Digicel to be fraudulent or to adversely affect the Digicel Network or other Digicel customers’ use of or access to a Digicel Service or the Digicel Network.

6.  It is unreasonable use of a Fair Use Promotion where your participation in a Fair Use Promotion is reasonably considered by Digicel to be fraudulent or to adversely affect the Digicel network or another Digicel customer's use of or access to a Digicel service or the Digicel network.

7.  Among other things, "fraudulent use" includes resupplying a Digicel Service without Digicel's consent so that someone else may access or use Digicel $3 Day or $14 weekly Pass Services or take advantage of a Fair Use Promotion.

 

Our Rights

8.  Where you are in breach of this Fair Use Policy, Digicel may contact you to discuss changing your usage so that it conforms to this Fair Use Policy.

9.  If, after Digicel has contacted you, your excessive or unreasonable use continues, Digicel may, without further notice to you:

a)     suspend or limit the Service (or any feature of it) for any period we think is reasonably necessary; and/or
(b) terminate your agreement in accordance with the relevant Terms & Conditions of the Standard Fair Use Policy.


10.  “Digicel reserves the right, due to technical expediency, or force majeure, to change any aspect of the Service or vary the technical specification or interrupt the Service without reference or prior notification to the Customer where this is necessary to either maintain the agreed quality of service, or a reasonable level of service given the expediency or force majeure or protect the integrity of the network. Digicel will restore the Service as quickly as is practicable.”
